Just like a puzzle, we all have pieces that connect together to form a much bigger picture. These pieces are our voices, our stories, and moments in our lives that have created smiles and sometimes... created tears.

But what happens when we read the pieces found in the pages of someone else’s story? We become inspired to understand that life’s disappointments are truly divine appointments destined to fulfill a larger purpose in God’s Grand Masterpiece story.

Chosen Pieces was designed as a creative safe space for women from all walks of life to come together and share these pieces. Generating opportunities to express, heal, vent, release, and touch other women through the gift of writing.

So no matter what your story is today, your piece deserves to be heard, and you deserve to be seen. Join our community of writers and become inspired, one piece at a time.

Hey Friends!

I’m Lucy Kyllonen, Director of Women’s Ministry at Crossover Church. But at my core, I’m just your average fun-loving Puerto Rican girl from New York City. For over 25 years the sunny city of Tampa, Fl has provided a beautiful home for my family and I, where I co-lead Crossover Church with my Pastor Husband.

I am the co-author of The Seed Was Always There, an impactful collection of real life stories that present how extraordinary challenges are tackled with honesty & faith by ordinary women.

I have a BA in Psychology, MA in Mental Health Counseling, a Life Coaching Certification & over 25 years of experience in both leadership and ministry, but my passion is impacting & connecting with women from all different walks of life.

So, I created Chosen Pieces to empower women to use their voice & share their stories with other women through the gift of creative writing. I designed this blog space as a passionate platform for women who want to experience the goodness & truth of God by reading relevant & touching stories from peers just like them.

Although the pieces of our individual stories may all vary, God’s love will always find a way to connect us. May each piece you read be a reflection of that connection and inspire your healing, today.
